New software allows pharmacists to create in-store signage with full-color product graphics
ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Oct. 25, 2005) — In an effort to help community pharmacists more effectively merchandise over-the-counter products in their pharmacies, the National Community Pharmacists Association’s (NCPA) Pharmacist e-Link™ is pleased to partner with Gladson Interactive to offer a complete in-store sign-making software program for pharmacy owners.
Using a simple online program, accessible from Pharmacist e-Link™ (www.pharmacistelink.com), community pharmacists can create and print point-of-purchase signs for their stores within minutes. The signs feature full-color product graphics to help customers easily identify the products they need. In addition, the signs help pharmacy staff ensure correct product and sign placement.
According to a 2003 Point-of-Purchase Advertising International retail study, signage that includes a color picture of the product can boost sales up to 11.2%.
Users can select from several sign templates, import product UPCs and customize the sign content. When complete, users can review the final design before printing it on their desktop printer. The in-house printing capability enables pharmacists to ensure store signage and pricing information are always current.
