Gladson Does Space Management Software Training!
 
Dave Monroe, one of our Industry’s best planogrammers, has been building planograms for over 16 years. However, he didn’t start out with dreams of planogramming. Dave has a degree in business administration and worked for a retailer. Dave sort of fell into planogramming . . . and found his forte.
 
Dave’s background is probably “typical.” Most planogram data analysts don’t set out to be planogrammers – in fact, it might be a bit tricky to find a school teaching space management software in their curriculum.
 
Part of Dave’s job which he really enjoys is training others in the use of space management software. A typical Gladson training client is a manufacturer completing planograms for retailers.The training class usually consists of people whose job responsibility for planogramming is less than 50%. They need to take either the retail POS or syndicated data (unit movement, dollar sales, demographics) and have it “talk” to the space management software they are using.

In preparation for training, Dave works with the client to customize a training outline. Gladson’s training is tailored specifically for the experience level and output skills of the participants in each individual class. While ideal class size is four to six participants which allows Dave to provide personal attention to each attendee, he has worked with classes with as many as 14 students or as few as one student. The customized classes can be completed at your location or ours and vary in duration from one to three days.
 
Similar to Excel, space management softwares each have several ways to get from point “a” to point “b”. Our analysts teach varied methods to get the job done. You pick the method that works best for you. Training includes documentation that details shortcuts along with multiple ways of completing the same task.
 
The sessions are customized to each client. The planograms built in class use the client’s data. If you sell haircare products, we won’t teach you how to build planograms with snacks. If you deal with shelf items, we will not spend much time on peg hooks and peg planograms.
