Strack & Van Til – Store Conversions Made Simple

In November 2006, Strack & Van Til (SVT.LLC) took their latest growth leap by acquiring eight new locations in the Chicago area. The last thing Dave De Both, Director of Shelf Management, wanted to worry about was how to set up these locations quickly to keep up with the aggressive remodel and re-opening schedule. “Let’s face it; there are a million other things that require my attention. I can’t let a slow store set stand in the way of our anticipated open date,” explained Dave.

Enter Gladson. S & VT was already using Gladson’s Space Management Database to populate its planograms when Dave learned of Gladson’s Image Merchandising Solutions, “Gladson told me that the QuickSet Image Reset Strips™ could save me half the time it would normally take to reset the store to our format using planogram outputs alone. I couldn't pass up the chance to at least try it once and see if they were right. My gut reaction was that it wouldn't save that much time…we’re just different than most retailers.”
